Pastor Staci Marrese-Wheeler

Staci Marrese-WheelerStaci serves as the pastor of Lakeview Moravian Community Church, which she has done since 2009. With a variety of ecumenical service in Lutheran, United Church of Christ, Presbyterian and Methodist churches, Staci appreciates the blended, Protestant congregation of Lakeview Moravian. Staci has served in a variety of non-profit positions as ‘specialized ministry calls’ within her 19 years of pastoral service including a United Way director, an interfaith volunteer coordinator and a bereavement coordinator for a hospice program. All of these positions allowed Staci to work with families in life transition, which she found to be a good balance to her work in congregational settings.

Staci has a Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from Carroll College (1988), and a Masters of Divinity from Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA (1992).

Bryan Manthe – Church Maintenance

20160221_112850-1_resizedBryan comes to us after 26 years at Royster-Clark where he was an overhead crane operator.  Among his MANY jobs at Lakeview Moravian Church, he handles the sidewalks, mowing, and general duties.  Bryan has overcome many challenges in recent years to demonstrate his not only his strong personal will, but his faith.  He and his wife, Joan, are both active members in the church and you can ask Bryan for just about anything – just be prepared for a joke in response!

Shadow the Church Dog

Shadow the Church DogShadow is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd, who accompanies Pastor Staci to the office on weekdays and on pastoral visits (when welcome). Shadow is a ‘rescue dog’ that came to live and work with Pastor Staci through the ARPH Breed Rescue program. Shadow is training to achieve his ‘therapy dog’ credentials with Pastor Staci. His good manners and loving temperament allow him to follow her into nursing homes, senior apartment buildings, schools and gatherings at church. Shadow is an equal-opportunity ‘snuggler’ and will lean into a good scratch from anyone. But if you are not a dog person and want to “just talk”, he is fine with that as well. :)
